From the blog Old and Blessed: I just finished watching Star Trek Discovery Season Four for the third time. For anyone who follows me, you might remember I’m a huge Star Trek fan. I’ve been watching Star Trek since it was first broadcast on television in 1966. Through the years this […]
I believe we need a mix of people as leaders, both women, and men, from all walks of life. God designed the two sexes with unique gifts, abilities, and leadership styles. I also agree with Real Christian Women, I am also old and blessed. Ha.
I have often said that we would not experience such a war-torn world if more women were at the helm of most countries. A generalization yes but I believe women prefer to talk things out and that merely having a womb makes life in all its forms more important and more precious. We know intimately that war kills and each life lost spent 9 months being formed inside one of us… and so each life is precious and not easily wasted in war. Testosterone may provide men more energy and muscles but it also leads to fighting over both small things and large.

Historically women as a whole appeared to be less aggressive, but there were some vicious vipers along the way. Salome, King Herod’s stepdaughter, prompted by her mother, Herodias, asked for John the Baptist’s head on a platter. Sometimes power just corrupts. But I also agree with Mary Humphrey-we need both males and females from a variety of backgrounds as our leaders. We especially need leaders who have job histories and are not career politicians.
I agree 100% with what you said here, Nancy. I know from firsthand experience how cruel some women can be.
My late aunt and uncle lived in Delaware, where my uncle was the president of a college. They knew the Bidens quite well. I am sure they would agree with your statement about needing leaders who are not career politicians.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I just checked out your blog. I love it! My husband and I bought a 5th wheel travel trailer about 10 years ago. We were going to travel the country with our Australian Cattle Dog, Lady. We took a couple of short trips, which were fun. But eventually, the truck we used to pull the trailer broke down, and was traded in for a newer truck that did not have the right hitch installed. Before we could get the hitch, the trailer was given to my husband’s daughter, who needed a home. Well, it was an enjoyable dream while it lasted!
Ah, a story! Now it is a home , it may feel quite pleased to rest! Thank you for checking out my blog, started as a distraction during covid and has continued to be a place of escape… hope we meet again…
