My stepdaughter, whom I love like my own daughter, was taken by ambulance to the emergency room about an hour ago. They suspect that she has appendicitis. She has had several almost lethal anaphylactic shock reactions over the years, to various pain medications and antibiotics. To everyone who reads this: if you believe in prayer, please pray for her. I don’t use real names on this blog, but you may refer to her as Jay. God knows who you mean.
Thank you very much. God bless you.
In the picture below, ‘Jay’ is on the left. This photo was taken a little over a year ago.

Lifting your daughter up in prayer now, Linda Lee!

I have already prayed for her and you and your husband. Wednesday is our church’s monthly prayer fellowship (the inner circle of a team of about 40 people). I am baking tomorrow, and my wife and I are hosting this month. We have a prayer list and a prayer box. The 40-person team prays every day for a month for those on the list by name and then they go into the box that we pray over. The box is also used for those that we might have difficulty obtaining updates or those, like you, that live far away. They get prayed for, not by name, but forever. I will place the names that you have given in the box. In that way, 40 people or more will be praying by Wednesday.

I will pray that God blesses Jay with medical professionals and advocates who will help her make wise decisions to improve her health and comfort. May God touch her with His healing hand! Linda, I have been trying to follow your blog, but my email address isn’t processed by the Follow block. I’ll try again later.

Thank you so much, Nancy. I greatly appreciate your prayers for our Jay.
Once again, I found your comment in my Pending file, but it did not show up in my Reader notifications, like all the other comments do. I’m sorry WP isn’t letting you follow my blog. I will check tomorrow and see if there is anything I can do.

I did get confirmation I am now following your blog. Am I in your queue of followers? Askimet is checking out why my comments aren’t in Reader for you. Thank you again, Linda. You’ve been very helpful.

I just checked, and I don’t see you in my list of followers. And this comment of yours was also in my pending file, but not in notifications. WordPress can be glitchy at times, but I still love it. I’ve met some awesome people here over the years. I guess WP is kind of like a mostly good marriage. Great overall, but not perfect, lol.
I’m sorry you are having trouble following my blog, but you probably won’t be missing much. I don’t post nearly as often as I used to. Most of my writing energy is being taken up by the memoir I have been working on every day for the past several years. Will I ever finish and publish? I hope so. But if not, the insight and inner healing that I have gained has made the effort very much worthwhile.

Good luck with your memoir, Linda. I can understand why writing it would be therapeutic. I hope you’re able to complete it and publish. Askimet can’t find any problem with my settings, so if I don’t receive notifications of your new posts, I’ll ll check out your site

Thank you, Kavya! I am always happy to see your comments. Yes, I am so grateful that Jay made it through the emergency surgery. She is having a lot of pain now, but that is normal as she heals from the appendectomy. I wish I could take the pain away.
