There’s No Place Like The Blog World!

I want to apologize to my followers for not writing anything new in so long. Although, with all the things available to read on the internet, you probably haven’t missed me too much, right? 😉

My absence has been due to a lot of things going on in real life. Nothing too horrible, just a lot of things. Whoever said that getting older isn’t for sissies was right! And to top it all off, we seem to have tree roots clogging up the drains in our house. Sigh.

For anyone who wants to know, I am still writing on my memoir every single day. At this point, I don’t know when, or if, I will ever finish and have it ready to publish. But I have gained a tremendous amount of insight and healing through writing my story, and for that reason alone, the endeavor has been worth it. My daughter, who is a licensed therapist, recently told me about a type of therapy called Lifespan Integration. From the way she described it, it sounds very much like what I have been doing for the past 4+ years, in writing my story.

Laughter is the best medicine, so I want to end this post with a few funny memes that my husband has sent to my phone. Also, for anyone reading this who believes in the Lord Jesus, please say a prayer for my dear husband. He has been in a lot of excruciating pain lately, in his neck and back, and he won’t let me take him to the hospital. He had two discs fused in his neck on January 17 of this year and it had fully healed, so why this horrible pain is happening all of a sudden, we don’t know.

Here are a few of the funny memes my hubby has sent me recently:

Thank you so much for stopping by. My blogging friends mean a lot to me, you really do. Yes, ALL of you. Here’s a great big grandma ((HUG)) if you want one. God bless! ❤

Yes I’ve missed you❤️ blogging has been my bright moment of the day for me. Paul is going to have his eighth surgery this year to get his bladder organized. He has lost lots of strength and weight and because we both turned 80 this year, everything is just more intense. His surgery is Monday. I will pray for your husband as well!

Oh, dear Kathy — eight surgeries? I am praying right now for your husband Paul, and for you. I know when my husband is hurting, it hurts me, too. ❤

Hi Linda, well I think my memory for names is stored in that same cloud! These three made me laugh out loud for real. Lifespan integration sounds very helpful. And writing counts, any writing counts, even if never published. It’s the journey that counts in my book, not the destination. Love,
    Phoebe

Yes I’m going into my third week (out of 6) next week, and it’s all going by too fast! But I’m having a great time hiking in the alps and when I leave here for Paris in two weeks, I will be again meeting people I know only as faces on Skype…The world is very small when you use Skype, but truly I never thought I would meet any of these faces in person. It’s wonderful. Nevertheless, I do think after this one trip, my traveling days, such as they were NEVER, will be over. Love,
        Phoebe

At least you’ve given a good reason for not blogging in a while. My lack of postings due to nothing but a lack of inspirtion. Praying for your husband.

Nice to hear from you Linda. And many prayers for your husband for quick healing and pain relief. I think he is wise to stay out of the hospital by the way. They are a real mess right now.

First, I have prayed for your husband. Second, I really miss BC the comic strip. Third, please keep on writing your story. When I wrote my book, I had to recall and think through the events of my life. It helped me to see God’s hand in everything that happened. Then I wrote it all down to give him the glory for everything.
So I have also prayed for you, for strength to complete your book so that others may be blessed in reading it. Peace.

Thanks for the update. Linda, I pray God shows Himself to you and your husband in ways that are above and beyond what you can imagine so that God will be glorified by the word of your testimony.

Praying right now that your husband gets relief from his pain, either by miracle or by medicine (which is a God-given miracle in itself)! So glad you’re still working on the memoir. I think it was just this morning I was praying about the people who will be blessed and encouraged by your story. Your healing has been a miracle too!
