Prayer Request – UPDATE: Surgery was successful!

My stepdaughter, whom I love like my own daughter, was taken by ambulance to the emergency room about an hour ago. They suspect that she has appendicitis. She has had several almost lethal anaphylactic shock reactions over the years, to various pain medications and antibiotics. To everyone who reads this: if you believe in prayer, please pray for her. I don’t use real names on this blog, but you may refer to her as Jay. God knows who you mean.

Thank you very much. God bless you.

In the picture below, ‘Jay’ is on the left. This photo was taken a little over a year ago.

There’s No Place Like The Blog World!

I want to apologize to my followers for not writing anything new in so long. Although, with all the things available to read on the internet, you probably haven’t missed me too much, right? 😉

My absence has been due to a lot of things going on in real life. Nothing too horrible, just a lot of things. Whoever said that getting older isn’t for sissies was right! And to top it all off, we seem to have tree roots clogging up the drains in our house. Sigh.

For anyone who wants to know, I am still writing on my memoir every single day. At this point, I don’t know when, or if, I will ever finish and have it ready to publish. But I have gained a tremendous amount of insight and healing through writing my story, and for that reason alone, the endeavor has been worth it. My daughter, who is a licensed therapist, recently told me about a type of therapy called Lifespan Integration. From the way she described it, it sounds very much like what I have been doing for the past 4+ years, in writing my story.

Laughter is the best medicine, so I want to end this post with a few funny memes that my husband has sent to my phone. Also, for anyone reading this who believes in the Lord Jesus, please say a prayer for my dear husband. He has been in a lot of excruciating pain lately, in his neck and back, and he won’t let me take him to the hospital. He had two discs fused in his neck on January 17 of this year and it had fully healed, so why this horrible pain is happening all of a sudden, we don’t know.

Here are a few of the funny memes my hubby has sent me recently:

Thank you so much for stopping by. My blogging friends mean a lot to me, you really do. Yes, ALL of you. Here’s a great big grandma ((HUG)) if you want one. God bless! ❤
