Hi Simone! I was just thinking about you. You wrote such an incredible, beautiful post recently about the things you learned from the movie Crip Camp. I was interrupted before I could finish reading it, and I was just going to your blog now to read the rest, when I saw your comment here on my blog.

Ann’s comment gave me a whole new perspective on this joke, too. Ann is very insightful like that.

I know, I’m a follower of hers as well and I really like her posts. Aw, I’m glad that you’ve been enjoying that post! It really was such a great film to review.

This is funny. It’s a metaphor for what we see happening too often. Folks are just too wrapped up in their selfish interest to be bothered with what God has to offer. After all, God’s been around a long time. He just might be a bit dated in his approaches to addressing contemporary issues.

I recall when I was growing up in the 1950s, we could still drink water from wells and even streams without fear of chemical pollutants. Now, it’s another story altogether.

I remember those days, too. Now, with reports of radon n our local water, even our three dogs get filtered water.

Love it! One of my sons mates wouldn’t eat vegies from our patch as he was scared that they might be unclean and not as good as supermarket vegies. I made him a salad sandwich hold the salad for his lunch.

Really? I eat gluten free because of celiac, so I’m going to look into that! 🙂
