My younger granddaughter has covid-19

Please pray for my granddaughter. I don’t use real names on my blog, so I will just give you her initials, B.E.S. She works as a security guard and is now home on sick leave. She has an 8 year old son who is healthy right now, I’m praying he doesn’t get this. His initials are C.S. Also, my oldest son lives with them, he is my granddaughter’s father, and I pray he doesn’t catch covid. His initials are M.S. They live in California.

I have seen some amazing miracles in answer to prayers in my lifetime. That’s why I am asking for prayers now. My husband is undergoing radiation treatment for prostate cancer and is having some miserable side effects from that. And to top it all off, I badly wrenched my neck and right shoulder a couple of hours ago and the pain is extreme. But more than anything, I want everyone in my family to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior and to be made healthy.

I found a starving, badly emaciated dog on the highway last Wednesday and brought her home. So now we have three rescues. I was going to write an in-depth humorous post, complete with pictures, about how our family is going to the dogs. But writing on my tablet is really hurting my shoulder and neck right now. Sigh… I don’t have time to be injured, I have too much to do! Like taking care of my husband while he goes through 44 radiation treatments, and potty training and cleaning up after this darling little dog.. while giving extra love and attention to our other two rescue dogs, so they don’t feel jealous. Anyway, pictures and funny fur baby stories will have to wait a bit.

I had the best, emotionally healing telephone conversation with my daughter earlier today. We talked 2 hours and 49 minutes, until her phone died. So even in the midst of all my pain and concern for my granddaughter and my husband, I am so grateful. It’s a mixed bag of blessings, you know? Life is hard sometimes, really hard. But life is also an incredible, amazing, wonderful gift. I am so grateful for this great gift of life!

God bless everyone who reads this. I love my blogger friends, I really do. Thank you for your prayers! ❤❤❤

Linda, just thinking of you right now and praying for you and all these situations… and will continue to do so. I know well what it’s like to have trouble all piling in at once and it looks like you’re having more than your fair share at present. “May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you…”

Isn’t it funny how sometimes the hardest times in life also come with the most blessings? So much negative & positive get mixed together.. maybe to help us to get through the negative.

Anyway you & yours are in my prayers! ❤

Thank you, Cynthia. And I think you’re right. The biggest trials and blessings all seem to come together sometimes.

By the way, I think our new furbaby might be an Australian Koolie dog. I had never heard of them, but I was searching for online images of merle colored dogs, because that’s what she is, and I found an image that looked a lot like her, with a link to Wikipedia. The more I searched, the more I became convinced that she is a Koolie. But how would an Australian Koolie end up abandoned on the streets of Santa Rosa, New Mexico? Too strange. Australian Koolies are part Dingo, according to Wikipedia. We used to have a red merle Australian Cattle Dog, and the similarities are amazing.

I’m planning to write all that in a post, but knowing how you love animals, I thought you would find this interesting. And wow — everybody’s prayers are making a difference, my shoulder was so painful it was all I could do not to scream last night — it still hurts some, but it’s so much better this morning!! I couldn’t write all this, otherwise. Praise God!!!

        You’re welcome! They really do!

Oh wow! I never heard of the breed either. So unusual! Thank you for sharing that! It’s so interesting! If only she could explain her life, huh?

Thank God for answered prayers!!! Glad to hear you’re doing much better!!

I know you’re familiar with this; however, we believers need godly reminders: Matthew 28: 20 (b) “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” With His presence, we can weather any storm. Praying for you and your precious loved ones. 🙏🏾

I told my husband last night: “I don’t think either one of us is aging very gracefully right now.” Lol. But the Lord has promised to be with us even in our old age and graying heads. Praise God!

It seems that when it rains it pours at times but the Lord is with all of you. May He be your peace, comfort, and healing for you and your family.

I will keep you all in my prayers. Rest and heal, all of you. I pray God sends angels to be by your sides in your recoveries and that you are safe as always. Give your dogs big hugs and belly rubs for me.

Aww, thank you. I named our new dog Angel because we found her near a sign that said Santa Rosa Angels. ❤

Adding my thoughts and prayers to the mix for all of you. ❤

SO glad your neck and shoulder pain has eased. I find neck pain to be especially awful: How do you not move your head?

Thank you so much, Susan. I know the prayers are being answered. Last night, I couldn’t get comfortable after I went to bed. The pain was so extreme, I literally wanted to scream. Finally fell asleep around 2 am. Woke up 6 hours later — the pain was almost gone!! Praise God!!

So true that life is a mixed bag of good and bad and in the middle of bad God can bring a good and it will transform our lives. Just need to be grateful for the whole bag.

      Habakkuk 3:17-19
      King James Version
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

19 The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Oh my goodness, what a worrying time. You have so much on your plate right now and lots of loved ones to care and worry about. I’ll be thinking of B.E.S, hoping they get through Covid with minimal of problems. I hope nobody else catches it, which is another worry of its own. And I’ll be thinking of your husband, too. I hope the treatment and the awful side-effects are all worth it so he can come through the other side of it. Sending my very, very best wishes & gentle hugs  ♥

I am seeing this late, but saying a prayer for your and yours, hoping by now everyone is on the road to recovery.
I have not been getting notifications for your posts, and a few others I like to follow. I’m going to see if I can get to the bottom of this – I’ve missed you!

    Annie

P.S. I looked up the Australian Koolie dog – what a kool looking breed! 😉 The rescues tend to be the most loyal. He’ll take good care of you. ❤
