My daughter and her boyfriend have fully recovered from covid-19. My son, who had surgery last week to remove a large kidney stone, is recovering nicely. He will have the stent removed today. Thank you, blogger friends, for your prayers!!!
Not even 2020 can take Christmas away!
❤❤❤
Top picture: snow and cactus in our back yard. Second picture: our dog, Baby, loves to run and dance in the snow. Third picture: our Merry Christmas Moose. I leave him out on the hearth year round.
Thanks for stopping by. I love my blogger friends! God bless!
Even the desert gets snow…… you know what it’s doing in my neck of the woods? Raining… gloomy and raining…

Aww, I’m sorry it’s gloomy and raining there. Hopefully that will change soon.
We love it when it rains here. Being semi arid with frequent high winds, this part of the country is vulnerable to wild fires. So any kind of precipitation is like manna from heaven.
Except for the baseball to softball sized hail we got in 2012. That was no manna!!

Lol!!! I’ve only seen snow 1 time before Christmas. It was a couple years ago and we were in the mountains.
Sounds like the plagues lol!!

Well, thanks to our insurance, we got a new roof out of the hail storm. 😀

Right. I grew up in what they called tornado alley, in Missouri. The town I grew up in was largely destroyed by a tornado, long before I was born. We did get a lot of tornado warnings there. But I have never seen such massive storms, as I have experienced here in New Mexico! Several tornadoes, a super cell — man, that was awesome! — and my husband and I were caught out in a mesocyclone, one time, as we were walking from our car to the diner! Then there was the Goliath blizzard a few years ago that blew down the huge grain silos a quarter mile from our house, killed over 30,000 cattle, and blew an entire freight train off the tracks about 5 miles from our house. We had 10′ high snow drifts.
The weather in New Mexico is not boring!!

Good grief!! I’ve never heard of half of that lol! Ok…. I repent.. I’ll take the gloom and rain.

You know what you have inspired me to go through my New Mexico storm pictures and pick out the best ones to put together in a blog. It will probably take me awhile though. The pictures I sent in to KOBTV weather back in 2007, I think it was, are on an old desktop computer that I am not sure still works. Those pictures, of a tornado flying over our house, downed trees across the street, ankle deep hail as far as you could see, and a humongous rainbow over the mountain, were featured on their weather news that night. 😀

That’s awesome!! I can’t imagine weather like that! We have some very ominous and symbolic looking sunrises and especially sunsets. That’s about the extent of the awesomeness out here lol.

A good report is always a pleasure to hear. God always comes through when you need Him the most! That moose is really cool! 😁

Thank you! My husband bought the Christmas moose for me, a few years ago. A moose sort of saved my life once, many years ago when I lived in Maine. My husband knows the (long) story, so moose are special to us.
I hope you and your family are doing well. ❤

So glad to hear that your daughter and her boyfriend are alright and your son is on the mend. Sometimes those waves can get pretty high but Jesus calms the storm! Love the moose! Blessings to you and yours Linda Lee.

Here in northern Delaware, we’re bracing for a coming 6-10″ snowfall; our first of the season. I have learned one thing… The “good” witch Glenda, from the Wizard of Oz LIED!!! She told Dorothy to click her heels together and say, “There’s no place like home.”
I tried clicking my winter boots together and saying, “There’s no place like Florida, and it DIDN’T WORK!! I want my money back!!! 😡. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Glad to hear that everyone is doing well! Prayers answered!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Thank you so much, Paul, both for your prayers and for rejoicing with me for answered prayers. My husband will be having three biopsies on December 18, so please continue to pray.
I didn’t know you live in Delaware! I visited that fine state many times, when my aunt and uncle lived on Fenwick Island. They were in the Dover area before that, when my uncle was serving as president of a college. Small world!
Ten inches of snow at once is a lot. We got more snow here in NM this morning, maybe about an inch, but most of it has already melted away.
I fixed the feats/feets for you. Stay warm! 😀
