Our police are nice, too. I tried getting into our neighbors’ house (long story) and got the code wrong (“Missed it by THAT MUCH.”) … heard the alarm going off and thought, “Dang. Now the police are going to … oh yeah, they’re going to call my house!” I ran home, answered the phone and explained. (eye roll)

I’m trying to figure out why the police called your house, when you were trying to enter your neighbor’s house. The answer may be obvious and I just can’t see it, because my brain has been a little off all day. (Hubby is having surgery tomorrow morning and because of his age, 71, and his mild COPD, and his history of 3 heart attacks, I….. will be very relieved when tomorrow is over and Thursday is here and my husband is FINE!)

We are close friends with our neighbors, so if there’s a disturbance and they can’t be reached (I had tried reaching them before “breaking in.”) the police will call our house.
They did that once when the alarm went off (not me) and they asked my husband to go over and check it out! (I beg your pardon?!)
Saying a prayer for your hubby! I hope you both feel God’s arms around you today.

Okay, that explanation makes sense… except for that part about the police asking your husband to check out the neighbor’s alarm! Good grief!

Thank you for your prayers. My husband is out of surgery now and we are waiting for the feeling to come back in his legs so he can be discharged. I talked with the anesthesiologist prior to the surgery and told him about my concerns because of his heart and COPD. So he decided to do a spinal block instead of general anesthesia. Yaay!!

Me, too! Although these things are in his medical file, his file is very thick and it’s too easy to overlook things.

The anesthesiologist came to talk to me again after the surgery. He told me how well it had gone. I told him that he was the answer to many prayers. Then he said “You are a good wife.” Awww!

I just read one of your reponses and it mentions your husband is having surgery tomorrow. I am sending up prayers for him, and you, this evening.

I did the same thing at work last week, totally forgot to turn off the alarm. I usually do it without even thinking about it. Evidently that can work both ways! Lifting you and your hubby up in prayers Linda Lee. Blessings!

I appreciate your prayers so much, Kathy. I talked with the anesthesiologist prior to the surgery and told him about my concerns, and he decided to do a spinal block instead of general anesthesia. Now we’re waiting for his feeling in his legs to come back, so he can be discharged. We live about 100 miles from the VA hospital. So… long day!

Hi Renee. My husband is doing amazingly well. He hasn’t needed anything stronger than Tylenol, and he is walking just fine without the crutches. The Lord definitely heard our prayers!

I am so thankful for what the Lord has done for you! And thankful that He,indeed, did hear the prayers! 😍
