We were walking at White Sands National Park that day, although this was years before it was made a National Park. One of the most beautiful places on the planet. I think we were all smiling like that.. 🙂
Thanks, Beverley. Lady was amazing. She’s in heaven now. Unless my husband is right about our new mystery mix rescue dog, Baby, being Lady reincarnated. I don’t know that I believe in that sort of thing. But the similarities in their personalities is amazing.
That makes sense. Our new dog, Baby, is an answer to prayer, regardless. My husband and I were driving on the highway about a year after we lost Lady, when we saw Baby trying to get across the highway, dodging semis in both directions. I prayed for God to protect her, as she ran to the far side of the highway and disappeared behind a building. I prayed for her to find her way home without getting hurt, and if she did not have a home, I prayed that God would lead her to a good home soon.
Then God used me to answer my prayer! About a week later, I walked out of a store several miles away from where I had seen the dog in traffic, and there she was, sitting right outside the door. She was definitely the same dog.I
Up close, I could see that she was much too skinny. The manager of the store told us that the dog was homeless, and that animal control had tried to get her twice, but she was too fast for them to catch.
It was 105 degrees that day. I gave the poor homeless dog some water, while my stepdaughter gave her some food. Then I scooped her up in my arms and we took her home. And Baby has filled the void that our sweet Lady left behind. ❤❤
Smart puppy dog. 🙂

I think they may share the same blood line. I don’t believe in reincarnation either. 🙂

I agree. No bite, less bark, lots of wag. Cute picture. Happy Valentine’s Day.
