Fifteen years ago today, I married this handsome man right here:
My husband does not fly for any reason, not since jumping out of airplanes over Vietnam at 30,000 feet fifty years ago. But out of love for me, he bought a round trip ticket as a surprise for me to fly to Connecticut for my granddaughter’s wedding this weekend.
i will be taking off out of Albuquerque on Southwest airlines in a few hours.
I was feeling a lot of anxiety about this trip. But now, thanks to all of the prayers and encouragement I received after my previous post, I feel nothing but excited!
I have a Kindle full of ebooks, so I am good to go. Best of all, I know God’s got me, come what may:
John 10:27-30 King James Version (KJV)
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
Thank you for stopping by. If you leave a comment, it may be awhile before I am able to approve it.

I LOVE that no one can pluck us out of His hand. I was just meditating on that verse a couple of hours ago. We seem to be on the same page. Have a beautiful, peaceful flight.

Thank you! I’m in Denver, waiting to board my flight to Hartford. The turbulence from Albuquerque to here was very bad. The seatbelt sign was on for all but about 5 minutes. During the worst of it, I started softly singing Amazing Grace — all of the stanzas. I felt like somebody sitting near me needed to hear it.
