Two days ago, our official high temperature here in New Mexico was 92. Yesterday our high was 84. Then the second bomb cyclone in less than a month hit. Right now, the temperature is just 1 degree above freezing.
From what I’m seeing on the news, many parts of the United States are having a blizzard right now, and thousands are without power. Yikes! According to our weather forecast, we’re supposed to get some snow here, too, within the next couple of days.
I’m calling this season “Wringer.” That’s Spring, with Winter at both ends.
I took this short video of our two dogs playing in the snow on March 4. Please ignore the hiney sniff at the end. Also, you may want to keep the sound off. (Note to self: Cut the silly commentary when making videos. 😁)
UPDATE ADDED 7 p.m. Mountain Time: I just read an article on AccuWeather written by meteorologist Brian Lada that says Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin got brown, yellow, and orange tinted snow caused by dust blowing hundreds of miles from New Mexico and west Texas. No wonder I almost blew over 3 times yesterday!
