Sleep disorders and PTSD have a tendency to go together. It’s after 4 in the morning and I have been awake since 1 a.m. I have to get up at 5:30, to go with my stepdaughter to her doctor appointment in the city.
I guess I am up.

Thank you so much. I usually sleep a lot better than I did last night. I feel like I will get some sleep tonight.

I slept almost 20 hours the night before and into yesterday. My body must have crashed. Have a great day.

Oh my, I guess you did crash. The last time I slept that long was last July, the day after I had surgery. A good long sleep can be very healing.

Thanks, Ryan. It’s been a long but good day. We just got back from Amarillo. I think I will sleep tonight.

I struggle with this as well. It can be so frustrating. I keep a notepad by my bed, and when struggling with insomnia I write down my prayers (instead of just saying them). It slows down my mind and helps me really think through what I want to say to God. It doesn’t always help me go back to sleep, but at least the time isn’t wasted tossing and turning and spiraling deeper into anxiety.

It has the added benefit of allowing you to see how far God has taken you over time!

I understand. I go to a sleep DR. I will not sleep for several days if I did have help. 🙂
