I would attach a picture to this post of me in a face mask (to prevent the spread of germs), but I can’t seem to access my pictures. It must be because of my 102.6 fever, scrambling my brain.
My husband got sick first. Two days ago he tested positive for influenza type A. He was put on Tamiflu and is doing much better. But now, I apparently have it.
We both had our flu shots, but here we are, sick as dogs. Actually, our dogs aren’t sick at all, but they do look very worried about their mommy and daddy. The 20 pound poodle and the 70 pound golden retriever/boxer mix keep going back and forth between us. They are very comforting. I just hope tbey don’t get this flu, I read that animals can get type A.
My stepdaughter took me to the hospital emergency room when she got off work, because my fever was so high. But we were told the wait for me to be seen would be six hours. I could not handle that, so I made a dr appointment for tomorrow and went back home.
I haven’t been this sick in a long time. I hope this flu epidemic stops soon!
Oh dear me Linda, ashia as we show sympathy out here. Here is to wishing you the best. In the meantime, any alternative remedies you could explore?

I had a flu shot too but still got sick. This stuff is pretty resistant. Hope you and hubby get better soon, especially in the midst of moving and everything. May God bring you healing quickly❤️

So sorry you’re sick. Influenza is miserable. Unfortunately, the shot wasn’t very effective this year. Just didn’t get the right strains. Hope you feel better soon. 🙁

So sorry to see you and your husband were provided so little safeguard following the recommended flu vaccine. Wishing the two of you a speedy recovery.

You know what’s crazy — for years I would not get a flu vaccine, due to all the negative stories put out by anti-vaxxers. Then 2 months ago I was persuaded to have one…. and this is the sickest I have been in years.

I’ll pray for you now. I’m not wanting recognition, but rather to let you know that you’re prayed for Linda.

You poor poor thing! I am sooo sorry you have the flu. I have not seen an outbreak like this in sooo many years! And everyone we know had the flu shot. I hope they can get some tamiflu in you. Keep drinking even if it is only sips so you don’t get dehydrated with that fever!!!
Oh wait, it says this was posted a day ago. Does that mean you got to the doctor friday? I hope so! Thinking of you

Thank you, Bethany. I finally felt barely capable of going back to the ER again tonight, to try to get on Tamiflu before it is too late. The waiting room was overflowing and once again I was told it would be at least 6 hours. I have never seen this hospital so backed up. So once again, no dr, no meds.

Oh NO! I just feel so awful for you being so sick and being told you have to wait so long so you get no help. I’m so worried about you! Is there another clinic like an urgent care center that isn’t an ER? We seem to have them on every corner around here

The nearest urgent care center is about two and a half hours away from our house. My husband tried to talk me into going there last night, but I just did not have the strength to travel so far. I came home, took a naproxen for my fever and a mucinex-dm, went to bed, and woke up a couple of hours ago feeling so much better! I almost can’t believe how much better I feel, compared to the way I felt yesterday! So don’t worry about me, dear friend, I will be alright. 😁
